How Flow can you go?

Friday, March 5th, 2010

Sometimes when you survey a staircase, you know its very unlikely a stairlift will fit especially if the stairs are narrow. Recently I was called to a old cottage in Leicestershire to survey a staircase that had a width of only 610mm and 3 x 90 degree bends, as soon as I saw the stairs I knew only one stairlift would fit, the Access Flow.

A few weeks later the Flow curved stairlift was fitted by 2 senior engineers who said it was the tightest stairlift that they had ever installed, but as you can see from the video below the Flow fitted perfectly with less then 10mm to spare.

Seeing that’s it Friday, you would think I would be looking forward to home time so I could start to enjoy the weekend. Well not for me I’m afraid as I’m the engineer on call for the weekend. Let’s hope that all our customers have no problems with there stairlifts this weekend, then I will be a happy man.
